Key West flats fishing charter information - rates, policies and how to contact these Key West fishing guides

Rates
Full Day (8 hours) $550
Half Day (4 hours) $375

A note on half day charters: With a few exceptions a half day charter is a very challenging prospect. Without the option of fishing some more distant locations or having the time needed to figure out the mood of our sometimes fickle targets, success is far from guaranteed. It can feel like you are simply fishing against the clock. There are some notable exceptions. Fishing in mid-winter (December and January) there are really only about six hours of productive sunlight, and a half day can take advantage of that. In the summer and early fall, half day charters can be the perfect way to take advantage of low light conditions (sunrise or sunset) and target tailing bonefish. Additionally, a half day is all that is required to experience the fabled palolo worm hatched of early summer (assuming we are not too tired from fishing earlier in the day). While that is just a partial list of exceptions, in most cases a full day will provide the best fishing in the best areas. Please call or e-mail us if you are uncertain, and we will be happy to talk with you about your best options.

Deposit
We require a $100 deposit for each day booked. If the charter is cancelled due to weather (excessively high winds or heavy rain) a full refund will be issued. If the angler cancels 30 days before the charter a full refund will also be returned to the angler. However, if the client cancels within 30 days of fishing and we are unable to rebook the day(s) the deposit is forfeited. We will make every effort to rebook any day canceled.

What to Bring
• Rain jacket
• Quality Polarized Sunglasses (Amber or Copper lenses are best)
• Drinks and food for yourself (Cooler and ice provided)
• Sunscreen
• Hat
• Camera

Due to Alex’s arrangement with Jack Nicklaus, he will often have openings for prime days during the peak of tarpon season. Do not hesitate to contact us, even during the busiest times of the year. It is a rare opportunity to be able to book a captain of Alex’s caliber at the last minute during May and June.

In the event that John, Drew, Alex or Jacob are all booked or unavailable, we will provide you with the phone numbers of other independent fishing guides that we feel will provide you a high level of service. We do not collect commissions from these captains. We do this only as a service to our customers to help them have an enjoyable day on the water.
